Grow Riverview’s residential and commercial tax base
Maintain public service levels with lowest tax rate in the tri-community
Continue to invest in street and infrastructure repair
Enhance availability/accessibility of public transit
Regulate residential flyer delivery through a distribution by-law
Ensure Riverview remains engaged in Local Immigration Partnership
Protect the values, connectedness, and sense of community that sets Riverview apart
If re-elected, I pledge to continue to be accessible to residents and local businesses, to advocate for continued transparency at Town Hall, and to collaborate with the community to sustain and grow our town. My priorities were determined based on feedback from residents and issues that are important to me and they include:
Supporting Recreation, Arts & Culture
Leverage Fundy Trail Parkway to promote Riverview recreation assets and businesses
Expand outdoor recreation assets including Mill Creek Nature Park
Complete Riverview Recreation Complex (set to break ground in 2022)
Invest in arts and cultural experiences including the Riverview Arts Centre and the Town’s art procurement program
Making our Community Safer
Advocate for enhanced RCMP coverage in Riverview
Collaborate with Riverview Neighbourhood Watch on public safety issues
Implement strong communication plan for residents when causeway is closed by province
Advocating for Social Responsibility
Pursue affordable housing options for Riverview
Advocate for enhanced support for persons experiencing homelessness
Support the Strategic Riverview Youth Drug Planning Committee (drug prevention)
Continue to promote Riverview as a sustainable community with sound environmental policies and practices
