This past Wednesday, Council heard presentations from community groups and organizations seeking funding from the Town during the upcoming budget deliberations. These are groups whose funding is specifically including in our budget.
Riverview Public Library: $12,000 Riverview Arts Centre: $78,600 Capitol Theatre: $74,730 Boys & Girls Club: $70,000 (I vacated my seat for this presentation due to a conflict of interest) TransAqua: Seeking no rate increase (portion of your bill designated for TransAqua will remain $210) Codiac Transpo: $518,709 3Plus: $91,355
Debate on awarding funds will happen on November 24 and 26 in public sessions.
