1. Presentations & Correspondence
Council heard correspondence from Urban planning who recommended the town consider the sale of land on the southern end of Runneymeade rd. Council passed a recommendation to bring this forward at the Regular Council Meeting.
Council heard a presentation from Nathalie Lirette-Bourque regarding a request to have the town consider a policy on breastfeeding. Town staff will be presenting council with something in a future meeting.
Charles MacDougall made presentation to update the town on recent activities with River of Pride.
2. Department Reports
Council heard reports from all departments including a new summary report on by-law infractions and a report give the approval of the purchase of a new bus for 2018 now. The town has received funding through the Federal Transit Infrastructure Fund. We are approving the purchase now so that the bus will arrive before March 31, 2018, the federal deadline according to the agreement.
3. Traffic By-law
Council heard and passed a recommendation to move forward with changes to parking regulations on a few streets. Details to come in the next report for the Feb RCM.
4. Special Assessment Levy
The town will move forward with notices of intention to begin work on local improvement project on various as determined in the 2017 budget.
